Ace Parsi Goes to Morgantown Pride

Here in West Virginia, LGBTQ+ rights are constantly weaponized as a culture war talking point. Too many of our elected officials use this community to fearmonger. They hope you won't take the time to get to know LGBTQ+ West Virginians, and they hope you'll be satisfied with their attacks on people you don't understand, so much so that you ignore their failure to make life better for all West Virginians. Approximately 68,000 LGBTQ+ people live in West Virginia. I care about them, and I care when they tell me their rights are being rolled back. Earlier this year, I attended a Pride event, and asked members of West Virginia's LGBTQ+ community what they wish people knew. Y'all means all, and I am fighting for every Mountaineer.
